AA-KMn04 Scrubbing Media

This media consists of potassium permanganate (KMnO4) impregnated on activated alumina. With a minimum

KMnO4 content of 6 wt%, it works by oxidising reactive gases to non-volatile, non toxic, inorganic by products and stable salts that will not offgas. In the process the purple permanganate turns into brown manganese dioxide, a safe non-toxic material that can be used as fertiliser.

Especially useful for removal of ethylene (C2H2) gas from coolstores, containers, storage areas. Also removes Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), culphur Dioxide (SO2), organic acids and nitrogen oxidies.

Destroys Odours, Corrosive Gases and Fumes
Very high capacity for a wide range of contaminant gases.
Non-toxic, safe and easy to use/dispose.
Will not offgas.
Non-Combustible

Activated Carbon

ECP Ltd are able to supply high quality Activated Carbon of all types, including Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) and Pelletised/Extruded Activated Carbon. Activated carbon is commonly used for gas and air treatment, or removal of unwanted compounds from liquids.

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)
Used for both liquid and gas phase applications, for drinking water a mesh size of 8×30 or 12×40 mesh is used.

Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC)
Smaller in size than GAC, generally used for liquid phase applications and flue gas treatment.

Pelletised/Extruded Activated Carbon
Extruded into cylindrical shaped pellets, mainly used for gas phase applications due to low pressure drop, high mechanical strength and low dusting.
